Linda T. Bot (née Dabo) was called to the Nigeria Bar in 1995, having read law at the University of Jos (LLB with Honours, 1995), and at the ITC/ ILO International Development Studies Institute of L'Universita degli Studi di Torino (LLM, 2016). She was called also to the Ghana Bar in 2008.
Her professional experience of close to 25 years spans corporate consultancies and high-level corporate counsel and company secretarial work in her areas of expertise such as energy and natural resources law, general commercial and corporate law, intellectual property law, investment law, business immigration, telecommunications law, property laws, corporate finance and securities laws, all with a fierce predilection for regulation. Her career associations began with some of the finest Lagos law firms wherein she was responsible for accredited regulatory and registries' liaisons, consular practice, capital markets work, and company secretarial items among others requiring confidence, trust, and professionalism.
She established the firm of International Legal Cosultants Accra, where she has been a director since the year 2006. Her range as a legal consultant expanded with further marital relocation to Kampala in the country of Uganda, where she serves or has served at board level in several significant firms. She was Legal Consultant to the Uganda Carbon Bureau for several years, and she chaired the Governing Board of The International School, Kampala, with responsibility for a substantial budget. To date, Linda Bot is a Member of the Oil & Gas Committee of the International Law Institute/ African Centre for Legal Excellence.
Also fluent in French, Hausa, and Ankwei, Linda co-owns/ co-founded the Bight of Benin Fine-Dining Restaurant in Kampala. She recently acceded to a directorship at aetasLF. Married with children, she lives in Uganda
